Louis Vuitton Sets Up Two New Shops In Melbourne, Here’s What We’ve Got In Our Cart

One word: everything.

It’s Louis Vuitton’s universe, we’re just living in it. At least that’s the case for the perineally stylish Melbournian’s who were just treated to two new pop-up boutiques inside David Jones’ Bourke Street store.

A curated selection of new season ready-to-wear and accessories from the luxury French maison are conveniently located inside the heritage department store for a shopping experience that will immediately transport you to l’avenue Montaigne.

Of course, for a 168 year-old-brand, the lavish label certainly knows a thing or two about how to create a soothing retail environment.

Nestled between floors, Louis Vuitton has unveiled two separate brick-and-mortar activations that pay homage to the maison’s rich history as a lauded leather artisan.

The first boutique, located on David Jones’ newly refurbished and renovated third floor, is home to the latest womenswear and footwear from the house’s artistic director of womenswear, Nicolas Ghesquière.

Inside, you can find the chocolate leather bomber jacket (which is the style du jour worn by off-duty supermodels this fashion month), seen on Korean superstar HoYeon Jung from LV’s FW22 show.

Fusing French heritage with Australian aesthetic, the interiors are aptly decorated in warm inviting hues and feature artworks by local creators.

Our highlight? The high-octane ‘Meteorite’ light sculpture designed by Melbourne based artists, Edward Linacare & Danielle Brustman.

Sadly for us, we’re unable to take this home in our sunburn Louis Vuitton shopping bags.

Downstairs, on the ground floor, a selection of accessories, including wallets and handbags, and fragrances are spotlighted in an artistic concept boutique.

The see-through façade of the store is marked by iconic cylindrical packaging of Louis Vuitton’s fragrances.

Inside you’ll find our favourites, including the Princess-approved Capucine bag and new-season signature, the Twist bag.

Not that we needed an excuse to go shopping, but these new boutiques from Louis Vuitton are proving to be the perfect weekend reprieve.
