London Fashion Week Street Style: The 3 Accessories To Invest In Now

The show goer seal of approval

This London Fashion Week may have been all about the designers’ AW18 collections (have you seen Christopher Bailey’s last ever Burberry show yet?), but if you’re really looking for style inspiration, then you need to look off the catwalk.

When it comes to new brands and trends, fashion editors, influencers and celebrities are always in the know.

But it’s not just outerwear they know, it’s accessories too (what easier way is there to update an outfit?), and there were a few key pieces I spotted over and over again on the cobbles, which is a sure sign they’re well worth investing in. From the next ‘it’ bag to the hottest sunglasses for spring, here are the accessories to shop now.

The Staud plant pot bag

If you haven’t heard about cult LA brand STAUD yet, you’re missing out. Designed by Sarah Staudinger, formerly of Reformation, it’s got the Alexa Chung and Leandra Medine seal of approval. While last season was all about the cult bucket bag, this season everyone is carrying the ‘plant pot’ bag and we’re SO in.

The Anissa Kermiche earrings

Anissa Kermiche’s fortune cookie earrings have been hanging off every stylish earlobe for the past couple of seasons, and there’s no sign of them going away anytime soon, especially as sculptural earrings are big news for SS18.

The slim cat eye sunglasses

This London Fashion Week was mainly sunny (unheard of), and as such all the fashion editors whipped out their sunnies. The style of choice: the super slim cat eye, and I’m loving this Zara version.
