Lara Worthington has one of the most enviable wardrobes in Australia (or globally, for that matter). Having worked in the fashion industry for well over a decade and being one of the country’s most coveted ‘It’ girls, Lara has access to some of the world’s most exclusive, luxurious and on-trend pieces. Teaming up with Vestiaire Collective, Lara has chosen to sell some of those covetable pieces.
“Partnering with Vestiaire Collective on reselling pieces from my wardrobe, made perfect sense,” Lara says. “Not only are they providing new life for our fashion treasures, adding to the wider goal of making fashion more sustainable – they have an expert curation team who make certain we can shop the best of the best.”
Curating a collection of 27 pieces from her wardrobe, Lara is donating 100% of the proceeds to three carefully selected charity partners, in line with her not-for-profit Share The Base. These charities each with a cause very close to her heart are WWF Australia, The Humpty Dumpty Foundation, and Bowel Cancer Australia.
On why she chose these charities, Lara explains: “I visited Humpty Dumpty’s neonatal ward in North Sydney and it floored me – not just seeing the babies but the dedicated and lovely team who run it all. WWF for its focus on many things, among which is Australia’s oceans. I am a lover of animals and beaches, so it was a great match. My father passed from bowel cancer so I have been working with @bowelcanceraustralia for a number of years now.”
