Lady Kitty Spencer is chic as they come, with the niece of Princess Diana regularly modelling for the likes of fashion’s biggest names while also championing her continuous charity work. And unsurprisingly, her penchant for Bulgari jewels and philanthropy have not stopped during isolation – in fact, she’s seemingly more determined than ever.
Spencer was born in London in 1990, the daughter of model Victoria Aitken (née Lockwood) and Earl Charles Spencer, younger brother of Diana, Princess of Wales. Just one-degree removed from swirling royal scandals, the family relocated to South Africa in 1995 to escape the media’s glare. “I had an idyllic childhood,” Spencer previously told marie claire Australia of her days under the Cape Town sun. “It was wholesome…very different to if I’d grown up in London.”
Dressed in silk pyjamas, as one does, Spencer took to Instagram to share a powerful message: “The @bulgari @savechildrenuk jewellery collection carries a direct donation with each purchase and currently this is supporting their COVID-19 Emergency Fund.”
The brand has been involved with Save The Children since 2009, empowering millions of children to build a better future through education. Over the last decade, more than 1.5 million children have been helped by the initiative.
Below, how Spencer has been flawlessly styling her at-home wardrobe.
As an ambassador for the luxury Italian jewellery house, a natural fit for a woman who counts Sophia Loren as her style icon, it comes as no surprise that she turned to Bulgari when getting dressed for her cousin’s wedding – that is her cousin Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
The royal wedding on May 19, 2018, proved significant for Spencer beyond her decadent jewels. Catapulted to the top of every best-dressed list in hand-painted green Dolce & Gabbana, she awoke the next morning to nearly half a million new Instagram followers. “I thought I was in someone else’s account,” she recalls. “I turned off my phone – it was a bit overwhelming. I felt like someone was watching me!”
Earlier this year, The Sunday Times reported that Spencer was engaged to partner Michael Lewis.
“Michael proposed to Kitty before Christmas. She’s been in Cape Town for the holidays and told her mother and the rest of the family,” a source told the publication. “Michael is loved by all of them. Despite his wealth, he’s very humble and low key.”
The couple made their public debut last May, when they were spotted walking around New York City together. Since then, it has been hard to catch a glimpse of the pair. However, pictures of Lewis and Spencer kissing emerged in August while they were holidaying in St Tropez.
We could have another royal-(ish) wedding on our hands.
