While we love Kate for being so down-to-earth we can picture ourselves being besties with her. We love her ability to rocks a Zara dress like the rest of us mere mortals. But we do love it on those rare occasions when she she goes all-out royal.

The Duchess of Cambridge went classic princess to attend the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace.
Usually there are no images released from inside this event, however this year the senior royals posed for a photo before the dinner.
Wearing a bespoke red Jenny Packham gown, Kate looked positively regal, but it was her crown, the Lover’s Knot tiara, which was beloved by Princess Diana.
This marks only the fifth time Kate was worn a tiara, the first being on her wedding day to Prince William, where she wore the Cartier Halo tiara.
It is the second time she has chosen this particular piece, wearing it at a diplomatic dinner in 2015.
