While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle work on their upcoming projects for Netflix from Los Angeles, Prince William and Kate Middleton are resuming their royal duties after months of working from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week, the Duchess of Cambridge met with parents groups in London to hear about their experiences during the pandemic, an issue close to her heart, as Kate too, has been quarantining with her three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
According to Hello!, Middleton talked to representatives from Home-Start, National Childbirth Trust, and Mush “about how they had struggled to meet up during lockdown and how important access to outside space had been to parents’ health and well-being.”
For the occasion, Kate opted for one of spring’s biggest trends, a white, square neckline top with a pair of smart, rose-hued pants and her go-to Superga sneakers. The Twitter account @KatesRoyalCloset also pointed out the duchess is wearing a new necklace with the initials G, C, and L, a nod to her three children.
Kate isn’t the only royal who shares a sweet tribute to her children through her jewellery. Sister-in-law Meghan often wears pieces that have hidden meanings, including a pair of zodiac necklaces from Canadian brand Suetables. She is regularly spotted wearing one Virgo pendant for Prince Harry and a Taurus pendant for their son, Archie Harrison.
Per People, members of the support groups had a video call with Kate ahead of the meet-up. “Huge well done to all of you. I know there’s a big team of you out there in communities across the country,” she said via the outlet. “Both William and I hear about how vital these relationships are to families, they’re a real lifeline. So to you and your army of volunteers out there, a huge well-done. I, like you, would love to see peer-to-peer support more embedded and celebrated in communities and society as a whole.”
The duchess’ white square-neck top with puffed sleeves is not only a great addition to your spring wardrobe, but it’s also a silhouette that’s been becoming increasingly more popular this season. Below, where to shop similar looks.
