Kate Middleton Proves Her Fashion Prowess At The Wimbledon Grand Finale

The Duchess coordinated with Prince George for his tennis tournament debut.

The Wimbledon tennis tournament continues to prove itself as the ultimate summer fashion hotspot, with Britain’s upper echelon flocking to the stadium to unveil their latest courtside ensembles.

However, with the Royal Box, packed to the rafters with perennially stylish monarchs, all eyes were on Kate Middleton as she cemented her status as the reigning queen of sustainable style.

The Duchesses sartorial triumph culminated with a polka dot navy blue summer dress by Italian-born and London-bred designer, Alessandra Rich.

While temperatures may be soaring in London, the future Queen consort didn’t sweat the heat as she sat alongside Prince William and her son, Prince George, to watch the grand finale between Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic.

The Duchess, who had already made a case for polkadots being the print of the season by sporting the style earlier in the week, is clearly continuing to sartorially reference the late Princess Diana with this 80s style peplum sleeve and exaggerated collar combination that the people’s princess became synonymous with.

Featuring a peplum bodice, the navy coloured midi dress complimented her 12-carat sapphire wedding ring, which also belonged to Princess Diana, necklace and earrings.

Completing the ensemble were classic black Bulgari sunglasses and a pair of two-toned Fab Slingback Pumps.

After the match, Kate Middleton took to the court to award the winning prize to Djokovic, who took out the tournament after beating Kyrgios. The latter is set to face allegations of assault in a Canberra court upon his return to Australia.

However it seemed that Djokovic’s win wasn’t the only historic moment to occur that day, with Prince George making his debut at the tennis tournament. The eight-year-old royal proved to be Kate’s mini-me, (despite the uncanny resemblance to his father), by matching his mother in a navy blue suit.

Prince William continued the motif by sporting a navy blue tie. The Prince completed his outfit with a sky-blue shirt and sand coloured blazer.

While it may be the last time our favourite Royal family will grace us with their court-side presence for 2022, we know for sure that it won’t be the last time Kate Middleton steps out in an Alessandra Rich dress.
