To mark her first official appearance of 2020, Kate Middleton has been photographed walking to St Mary Magdalene church, on Sunday morning, in the most gorgeous plum coat with peach detailing. Many fans (we included, of course), are speculating that the Duchess’ new coat, might be another bespoke Catherine Walker design – a favourite of Kate’s – due to its familiar cut.

The Queen was also in attendance, and purple certainly seemed to be the theme of the occassion. Arriving at the church by car, Queen Elizabeth was seen wearing a bright purple ensemble, complete with a matching hat and black gloves.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be hosting some of their closest friends at their country home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk as they mark Kate’s 38th birthday this coming Thursday. Some of the guests invited were the Duke of Cambridge’s lifelong friend Tom van Straubenzee and fiancée Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe as well as friends James Meade and his wife Laura. Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton also joined the royal family for the weekend celebrations.
