The Duchess Of Cambridge Has A New Signature Shoe

She’s ditched the plain pumps for something far more fashion

In the years since her marriage to Prince William, Kate Middleton could be relied on for one thing: always wearing the same LK Bennett Sledge pump shoe. In black or nude, she’s worn them for everything from presiding over royal events to the polo to the pool (we can’t verify that last one, but we wouldn’t be surprised).

But now it appears the Duchess has a new favourite shoe, and it’s a design we can really get behind: Prada scalloped suede sandals. She first wore them in black earlier in the month, teamed with a Preen dress:

Now, she’s been spotted in the neutral version of the same heel, matched with a dress by German designer Markus Lupfer.

The strappy heels elevate the Duchess’s outfits and give them a high fashion twist. But old habits clearly die hard, with Kate switching back into nude closed-toe shoes the very next morning to wear with a sunshine yellow Jenny Packham dress.
