The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a reception hosted by the Queen last night to celebrate the UK’s ties with India.
The reception was held at Buckingham Palace, and Kate Middleton glittered in a metallic dress by Erdem and sparkly Oscar de la Renta heels for the occasion.

The midi-length floral dress certainly got people’s attention, but her glittering pumps were the star of the show.
The Duke and Duchess greeted sports stars, actors, musicians and politicians from India for the occasion. A selection of artefacts from the Royal Collection was also on display for the guests to view.

Buckingham Palace was also lit up by a giant peacock, India’s national bird, so that passersby could see that the celebrations were going on.
