The Duchess Of Cambridge stepped out to attend the opening night of 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal in London overnight and made quite the statement on the red carpet in a bold red gown.
The Duchess opted for a different silhouette from what were used to seeing on her, opting for a tea-length (or 7/8th length) gown by Marchesa.

“I love the length,” says marie claire’s Fashion Director, Jana Pokorny. “It’s what makes it contemporary.”
The dress, the Marchesa Notte sheer panel flared dress, is currently on sale for $1,437 – but as with most things the Duchess wears, it’s selling out fast.
Kate kept her colour palette monochromatic, matching her accessories to her dress – including her Kate Spade New York Tassel Statement Earrings which retail for $98.
“The addition of tonal accessories finishes off Kate’s look perfectly,” adds Pokorny.
