Kate Middleton has stepped out in her freshest spring look yet, donning an emerald green skater dress for an engagement on Wednesday.
Choosing to wear Kiwi designer Emilia Wickstead for the occasion, Kate quashed any residual rumours of a feud between the Palace and the designer, who was alleged to have criticized Meghan Markle’s Givenchy wedding dress and claim the design as a copycat to her own.
The green wool dress was paired with nude accessories, and the Duchess went sans coat thanks to the warm London spring weather. The event saw the Duchess of Cambridge open the new Centre of Excellence for the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, where she is a patron for the organisation.
Kate is a big fan of Emilia Wickstead’s designs, choosing the wear the designer a number of times in the past, often opting for simple, block colours with this same skater form. Meghan Markle has also been spotted wearing the Kiwi designer a number of times since her wedding.
