Meghan Markle may have just wowed the world in a $12,000+ outfit for her first royal Christmas, but almost a decade earlier, it was the Duchess of Cambridge – aka Kate Middleton’s – festive attire that had us all in raptures.
Before you scroll, remember, for Kate’s sake, that this outfit is from 2011 – making it six years old by now – so it’s likely you’ll think it’s got nothing on current-day Chloe. And unlike Markle, who was invited to Sandringham for Christmas with the Queen before officially becoming a part of the family, it wasn’t until the Duchess of Cambridge was already married that she was invited to join in.
She chose a burgundy ensemble for the occasion, including custom British coat and Mulberry clutch, her signature black opaque tights and Mascaro black suede heels. She completed the look with a Jane Corbett velvet hat, according to The Independent.
