Recently, the Duchess of Sussex has been dominating fashion articles with her maternity style and royal tour wardrobe giving us ample sustainable, accessible and wearable outfit ideas. But overnight, the Duchess of Cambridge gave us all a lesson in both tonal and transeasonal dressing when she stepped out wearing an on-trend turtleneck and olive-green culottes.
For a visit to the Natural History Museum, Kate Middleton wore a burgundy knitted top with scallop detailing by affordable British brand Warehouse with olive-green wide-legged Jigsaw cropped pants. Completing her look was a matching burgundy Chanel top handle bag and matching Tod’s heeled loafers.
Back in July, it was reported that the mother-of-three was wanting to make changes to her wardrobe as she felt like she was in a bit of a “style rut.”
“Kate felt like she was in a bit of a style rut and thought she needed a little edge,” a source told People. “She’s consciously worked on getting her look to be a bit younger and more modern, and it’s worked! She looks amazing, and she is getting lots of compliments about it.”
This latest look? Younger? Tick. Modern? Tick. Amazing? Tick.
