Duchess Kate Went Bold In Red For Day 1 Of The Canadian Royal Tour

Paying homage to her host country

The Duchess of Cambridge made a bold statement when she stepped  out in a red and white print dress by Alexander McQueen for Day 1 of the Royal Tour of Canada.

Paying homage to her host country, the $6,800 red and white frock was quite the statement for the Duchess, with its graphic print and a pleated and layered hemline.

Instead of her trusty nude heels, Kate instead opted to match the frock with a pair of red heels and a matching red Miu Miu clutch.

Kate and Wills left the kids at home for a full day of activities, which included a visit to Sheway, an outreach centre for vulnerable pregnant women and new mothers where they met with mothers and children helped by the program.

The Couple also paid a visit to the Immigrant Services Society where they met with Syrian refugees. Joined by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie, they also met with staff and volunteers who work with over 25,000 migrants each year.
