Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss and Gigi Hadid are just a few of the fashion industry’s most well-known names to have come together to reinterpret the late Karl Lagerfeld’s legendary white shirt for a good cause.

In celebration of the iconic designer’s legacy, a global community came together to recreate and reinterpret his most iconic design via ‘A Tribute to Karl: The White Shirt Project’.
Partnering exclusively with Farfetch, a collection of seven shirts designed each by Carine Roitfeld, Cara Delevingne, Tommy Hilfiger, Sébastien Jondeau, Diane Kruger, Kate Moss and Takashi Murakam will each be replicated 77 times and sold for €777 ($1258) each. The proceeds will be donated to the Sauver la Vie charity initiative for medical research at the Paris Descartes University.
Seven was the designer’s lucky number, the number of his favourite arrondissement in Paris, France and the address of his bookshop on the Rule de Lille.
Delevingne’s design features prints of several of her tattoos including an etching of a lion (which is inked on her finger) and of an elephant (tattooed on her arm). While Moss’ includes a poem.
Speaking about his love of the simple white shirt, Lagerfeld once stated: “If you ask me what I’d most like to have invented in fashion, I’d say the white shirt. For me, the white shirt is the basis of everything. Everything else comes after.”

The shirts will be available on September 26th, 2019 for purchase exclusively on Karl.com and Farfetch.com.
