Yesterday the American Music Awards were held in Hollywood, and while there were many stars stepping on to the red carpet hoping to steal the headlines, no AMAs ensemble will ever be more talked-about than Justin Timberlake and Britney Spearsโ from 2001.
The then-couple stepped out in the most gloriously-hideous denim-on-denim-on-denim matching ensembles. Itโs everything that was wrong (but secretly oh-so-right) about noughties fashion.

Their look went down as not only one of the most iconic fashion moments form the AMAs โ but in Hollywood history.
But all these years later, Justin revealed what he really thought about the look, when asked on The Project what heโs learnt about the entertainment industry.
โAh, that if you wear denim on denim it will get documented,โ he joked.
โI hear itโs coming back,โ replied Peter Helliar.
โYou know what, I donโt even think I could bring that back,โ he added, before he seemed to change his mind.
โIโm gonna go out on a limb and say if itโs worn properly denim on denim could be brought back.โ
