Here, Jesinta shares details on the campaign, and what else is on her summer playlist…
MC: Tell us about your partnership with Seafolly?
JF: Working with Seafolly has been a dream of mine since I started out in this industry over 12 years ago. As a young model, working with such an iconic brand was something I aspired to, so to be able to shoot their campaign and be the face for summer is pretty incredible. To me, Seafolly is an iconic brand that is synonymous with Australian summer. They always release the most amazing collections and have been my go-to for all stages of my life, including pregnancy and breastfeeding. The fuller cup options were amazing for me—I love that there is something for everyone.
MC: What do you look for in swimwear?
JF: Over the years through different stages of my life, I have needed different things from swimwear. Whilst I was pregnant and postpartum, I wanted more support and coverage. A good one-piece or a bralette with built in support, for example, or a swimsuit for swimming lessons with the kids, or something more fun sexy for a day at the beach or bright and patterned for a holiday. This is one of the reasons I love Seafolly, there’s something for every need and occasion.
MC: What tips do you have for women wanting to feel pool-side body-confident—while juggling a cocktail and two kids?!
JF: Since having kids, I’ve spent more time splashing around pools than ever. I also made a conscious decision that I wasn’t going to let my own body insecurities stop me from having fun with my kids at the beach or the pool. So no matter what kind of day I am having with my body, I’ll always push that aside to make memories with the kids— that’s what’s more important.
MC: Your summer breakfast menu go-to is…?
JF: We spend a lot of time in Queensland during the summer months, so for breakfast, I love avo and feta on toast, and mangoes! The smell of mangoes reminds me of summer.
MC: What are your summer wardrobe essentials?
JF: A one-piece swimsuit that you can wear at the beach or poolside, but also as a top under denim shorts or a skirt. Also, a nice light linen pair of pants, a classic red manicure, a big hat and oversized shirts to wear loose and open over swimwear, or tied up with a pair of pants or shorts!
MC: Your summer socials include…?
JF: Summer is always about family for us, so lots of time our bikes, barbecues on the balcony, catch-ups with the kids’ cousins, and of course Christmas celebrations! It’s the best time of year. I cherish the extra time I get with my loved ones.
MC: How does your summer fitness playlist change?
JF: I love a sunrise run or walk along the beach followed by a dip in the ocean. I find I do less structured workouts in summer, as we ride our bikes everywhere and spend so much time in the ocean.
MC: What are your beach bag essentials?
JF: A Seafolly bikini, a good book, a portable speaker, sunscreen, fresh fruit to snack on and water.
MC: What do summer holidays look like?
JF: We spend our summers in Queensland. We have a place up there and just love the lifestyle. It’s so relaxed. We spend so much time outdoors, it’s the best. I grew up on the Gold Coast so I have lots of amazing memories—it’s so nice to be making memories with my own kids now.
MC: Your summer cocktail choice is…?
JF: I love a chilli and mango margarita. My Dad makes the best cocktails.
MC: How does wellness fit into your summer plans?
JF: I love to watch the sunset while we’re on holidays. We build it into our daily routine with the kids. It’s such a beautiful way to end the day. It feels spiritual and I get more out of it than a mediation. If I could plan my ideal day, it would be watching the sunrise and the sunset, it’s just magic!
