Jennifer Hawkins has just signed on for two more years as the face of Myer, and is about to walk their Spring 16 fashion show tonight.
After four months of filming Australia’s Next Top Model non-stop, she took a much-needed break with her husband, Jake Wall, to Positano in Italy. But preparation for the Myer runway show didn’t stop there! She told us about her favourite workouts, and what she did to be able to eat as much pasta as possible.

“You do have to be at your best fitness level to be in a cossie [on the runway]. So to be able to eat relatively what I wanted, I was exercising every day!”
She said it involved ‘running and lots of resistance training’. “Jake set up a circuit for me that I did every third day – squats, sit ups, so I got a real sweat up!”
When she’s on-the-go and doesn’t have much time to workout, there’s one move Jen will always do first.
“Obliques – abs. They’re my go-tos. They make me feel better when I do. I mean I hate doing abs, but you always feel better with the results. Clothes look better, you feel more supported and grounded, so they’re my go-tos.”

Travelling in Italy has certainly gotten her ready for summer in Australia this year. There are some exciting new fashion trends happening this coming season, like metallic fabrics, tiered maxi pieces and peasant tops, but Jen already knows what she’s looking forward to wearing most.
“I’m always in denim jeans or denim shorts for summer, and Aje – I just love their collection. They’ve got this long-sleeved denim summer dress that’s got cut-outs at the back. It’s super sexy, but quite covered. It’s so cool, I love it!”
In the meantime, she’s excited for the show and feels like she’s living her best life.
“The essence of Myer is that it’s so fresh and Australian, and really relatable, but they’ve also got such accessible brands and traditional brands as well. I just love the Myer team and love working for them, and it just felt right after 10 years it just feels like part of my life.”
