It seems 2018 is the year of the royal wedding. While we were still recovering from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 19th nuptials, Princess Eugenie announced her engagement to her partner Jack Brooksbank and preparations for another highly-publicised Windsor wedding began.
With our attention firmly focused on the details surrounding Princess Eugenie’s big day, we managed to miss another royal bride-to-be walking down the aisle. Over the weekend, Fernando Fitz-James Stuart, the Duke of Huéscar and heir to the Dukedom of Alba, tied the knot to his long-term girlfriend, Sofia Palazuelo Barroso, at Liria Palace in Madrid.
The bride wore a stunning, short-sleeved gown by designer Teresa Palazuelo, who also happens to be her aunt.
The fitted v-necked dress looks simple until you see the long train flowing down the back.
Instead of wearing a tiara, Princess Sofia wore a small feathered hairpiece, which wrapped around her low bun.
The groom wore traditional military regalia, representing the Royal Cavalry Armory of Seville and reminding us of Prince Harry’s regal outfit on his wedding day.
