Want to work in fashion? Then you definitely need to enter StyledBy marie claire’s Search For A Stylist – driven by FIAT®.
Along with a fabulously fashionable FIAT 500 Lounge for six months, $1,000 cash and the money-can’t-buy opportunity to join marie claire’s fashion influencer network, you could win an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Business at FBI Fashion College valued at $12,750.
We caught up with FBI founder Selena Mazuran to find out more about the college, whose alumni includes bloggers Talisa Sutton and Chloe Hill and stylist and co-founder of Matteau Swim Ilona Hamer.
What inspired you to open FBI?
“I was working in the industry and saw a market niche. In 1994 no one was teaching fashion business subjects like styling, buying, marketing and PR.”
What’s the particular appeal of the Advanced Diploma Of Fashion Business?
“It’s the only one of its kind internationally. It has been crafted by FBI to address the modern demands of the young fashionista, equipping our students for the best chance they have to be successful in the fashion industry.”
What’s your number one piece advice for your students?
“Don’t second guess yourself. We find that one of the trickiest aspects of our students finding success is to believe that they can.”
What about the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
“Never burn your bridges – our industry is so small. Impress everyone.”
What do you wear to work to feel ready to take on the day?
“Anything I have that belongs to my mum or my dad – usually my mum’s beautiful jewellery and my dad’s watch.”
