You Can Live La Dolce Vita À La Patrizia Reggiani In The ‘House Of Gucci’ Villa, Thanks To Airbnb

Loro casa è la tua casa

It’s not every day that you get to live Lady Gaga, let alone as an affluent Italian socialite like Patrizia Reggiani. But now, both dreams can come true (minus the murder) and it’s all thanks to Airbnb.

If you found your eyes wandering toward the magnificent villa and European interiors sprinkled throughout the House Of Gucci trailer, then know you’re not alone. The home, called ‘Villa Balbiano’, is currently available to rent for one night only to celebrate the film’s release.

The luxurious mansion is located on the western short of the specular Lake Como, located in northern Italy and can be rented on the home hosting website from December 6, 2021.

Hosting the home, Irina, is accepting a mere USD $1000 (approximately AUD $1384) for a lucky individual—and a plus one—who are free to spend the night of March 30, 2022 in the mansion, sans the price of flights of course.

While the deal certainly sounds sweet, it comes as no surprise that the house is rather large. In fact, the house is huge enough for a crowd of plus-ones, boasting at least four floors, an outdoor swimming pool, private pier and a boathouse.

Previously owned by a Catholic cardinal, the home includes six suites—that were each designed by interior decorator Jacques Garcia—a private elevator to the first three floors, a garden maintained by the British Society of Garden Designers and the furniture is sourced by auction house’s Christie’s and Sotheby’s to remind those living in the home, of the extreme opulence that the family were used to.

Renting out famous abodes has clearly become a theme this year, with fans of Sex And The City getting the chance to live like Carrie Bradshaw by renting her iconic apartment (and a selection of her famous fashion) to promote the show’s reboot, And Just Like That. Not only does it offer fans the opportunity of a lifetime, but it also provides advertising for the project and the owner of the property an income. Honestly, what’s not to love about that?

While you wait to book in, we encourage a rewatch of the House Of Gucci trailer and a crash course of the Italian language in preparation. And in the meantime, you can check out the interiors of Villa Balbiano below.
