While a lavish wedding isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, there is no denying Giovanna Battaglia’s and Oscar Englebert’s wedding over the weekend in Capri, Italy, was in a word: stunning.
It was a three-day affair, with the bride, a renowned fashion stylist, having no less than four outfit changes – which included custom looks from Azzedine Alaïa and Giambattista Valli – but it was the show-stopping Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown which she wore to wed her Swedish realtor beau that drew gasps.
The guest list read like a front row at fashion week, with Derek Blasberg, Natalie Massenet, Anna Dello Russo, Sabine Getty, Lauren Santo Domingo, Hamish Bowles and Margherita Missoni in attendance.
