A-listers turned out for Giorgio Armani at the Venice International Film Festival, as the Italian fashion house presented its latest collection for Armani Privé.
The celebrity guest list included Jessica Chastain, Kerry Washington, Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page, Euphoria stars Sydney Sweeney and Maude Apatow, and Riverdale actresses Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes.
While film stars have been largely barred from promoting films due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the runway presentation provided a good reason for stars to come together for a high fashion bash.
The occasion marked the return of Armani’s One Night Only events series, in which it hosts unique presentations in different cities, worldwide.
One Night Only Venezia was the latest occasion, following the label’s 2021 event in Dubai, and 2014 show in Paris.
The Venice Haute Couture show took place at the Arsenale, an ancient complex of shipyards and industrial spaces in the eastern part of the city.
The collection was inspired by the city of Venice, and featured traditional Harlequin design aesthetics, including diamond patterns and frilled collars.
Armani’s connection with the Venice Film Festival dates back to 1990 and the premiere of the documentary Made in Milan. The short film, which was directed by Martin Scorsese, followed Giorgio Armani as he prepared for a fashion show, and spoke about his history with the city of Milan.
