Gigi Hadid has announced that she’s not walking in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Just three days out from the runway extravaganza taking place in Shanghai, China, the model took to Twitter to share the news with her fans, writing: “I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year.”
“Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can’t wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can’t wait for next year! 🙂 x”
Though the 22-year-old didn’t give a reason as to why she’s had to pull out of the show, fans are speculating she was denied entry into China due to the recent outcry over a social media video showing her pretending to be Asian.
Four other models were also reportedly denied visas into the country.
Kendall Jenner is missing this year’s show due to her contract with lingerie label La Perla, however, Gigi’s younger sister, Bella, will still be taking part.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is being pre-recorded on November 20th and is due to air on Channel Nine on November 28th.
