Twenty years on from one of its most iconic collaborations, Louis Vuitton launched the re-edition of its Takashi Murakami collection. And now, lovers of the nostalgic crossover can treat themselves to a second chapter.
An icon of the early 2000s, the original Louis Vuitton X Takashi Murakami collaboration, initiated by the Houseโs artistic director of the time, Marc Jacobs, was an era-defining collection for the Maison and fashion-subscribers alike. Louis Vuitton X Murakami will once again bring together the French fashion houseโs creativity, innovation, and savoir-faire with the renowned Japanese artistโs joyful and imaginative aesthetic.
Murakamiโs works became internationally acclaimed for blending traditional Japanese art, sci fi, anime and whimsical kawaii characters through repetitive motifs in mediums of film, painting, and sculpture, the distinctive style of which was creatively reflected in his work with Louis Vuitton.

The collection serves as a modern-day showcase โdefined by artist vision, remarkable feats of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technologyโ that sees a newfound vividness and elevated precision of each of Murakamiโs characters and motifs.
Highlights of Chapter Two will see Murakamiโs exquisite Cherry Blossom motif rendered across more than 40 pieces, including iconic bag silhouettes such as the Keepall 45, The OnTheGo, The Papillon, The Boulogne, and The Speedy 25.
Only further indulging our nostalgia and itโs status as a seminal moment in 21st-century fashion, the Louis Vuitton ร Murakami campaign once again stars American actress and Louis Vuitton House Ambassador, Zendaya.
Louis Vuitton X Murakami will be available for pre-order on March 14th and instore March 21st
