Yara Shahidi Is Glowing In The SS25 Gucci Campaign
The Gucci SS25 campaign has arrived starring Yara Shahidi and George MacKay and it’s full of dreamlike romance. Showcasing creative director Sabato De Sarno’s latest collection, the campaign Where The Light Finds Us, directed by Xavier Dolan, depicts the pair cosied up in a 70s hotel room. De Sarno said of the campaign: “Gucci Spring Summer 2025 is a celebration in its most vivid and tender forms. Working with Xavier Dolan allowed us to capture a precise, magical, and unpredictable moment – where love and connection unfold in their purest essence. His vision reveals the unspoken beauty of shared emotions, where light becomes a metaphor for authenticity and vulnerability. This campaign is not just about fashion – it’s an ode to the fleeting, extraordinary moments that define what it means to be human.”
Yara Shahidi is a star on the rise, having most recently featured in TV series black–ish and Grown-ish. Meanwhile, MacKay is something of an action movie hero, having starred in 1917 (2019), Captain Fantastic (2016) and most recently award-winning science fiction romantic drama The Beast (2023).
Ralph Lauren Honoured With Presidential Medal
As Joe Biden prepares to stand down as president of the United States, he’s spent his last month in office bestowing individuals who’ve made exemplary contributions to the country through their lifetime.
One such honour has been bestowed upon Ralph Lauren, who received the Presidential medal of Freedom from President Biden on January 4.
The award recognised the designer’s illustrious career, highlighting his transformative influence and impact on American culture and society, both locally and globally.
The esteemed award is the first of its kind offered to a fashion designer, with Lauren joining previous recipients such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Maya Angelou and Simone Biles.
Swarovski Welcomes Year Of The Snake
Heritage jewellery house Swarovski has unveiled its latest collection as it prepares to usher in the Year of the Snake.
The new release heralds the start of celebrations for the brand’s 130 Years of Joy and features creative interpretations of the house’s signature swan, alongside serpentine jewellery and a playful nod to prosperity in the form of new crystal figurines.
