Dior Reinvents Its Most Iconic Beauty Product, Rouge Dior
Dior first ventured into the world of beauty in 1953, when Christian Dior introduced the house’s first makeup product: Rouge Dior. Created to ‘dress the smiles’ of his couture clients, the lipstick quickly became a symbol of self-expression, and earnt cult status in the process.
Now, the iconic product has been revatilised. Under the direction of Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Beauty, Rouge Dior’s famous formulation has been refreshed, with the latest version featuring a nourishing mix of red peony extract and floral active ingredients.
The updated Rouge Dior is also available in several new shades, each in satin and velvet finishes, and a chic new refillable case.
To commemorate Rouge Dior’s rebirth, the house has enlisted four of its ambassadors — Anya Taylor Joy, Dilraba Dilmurat, Yara Shahidi, and Rachel Zegler — in a campaign celebrating the empowering femininity at the core of the iconic product.
