Weekly Fashion Digest: Burberry’s New Vision And Dior’s Artistic Ventures

The fashion news to know.

Fit for a lady

Dior has reworked their classic Lady bag for the third time, collaborating with a suite of all-female artists from around the world. The capsule collection sees the iconic bag reimagined with one of the 11 artists’ spin. Think brilliant gold finishes and patchwork-like mosaics, all approved by the inimitable Maria Grazia Chiuri. Best of all, the capsule — dubbed Dior Lady Art 3 — is available exclusively at the Dior Melbourne boutique. If you want a one-of-a-kind keepsake for Valentine’s Day, this is it.

Burberry’s new step

Burberry has released Riccardo Tisci’s first campaign for the storied British fashion house, and it doesn’t disappoint. The campaign, which was shot by six photographers, shows the designer’s debut collection in a number of lights. Representative of the new, modern Burberry, the photos are an ode to the house’s history, but also its path towards the future. “I knew I wanted to work with a collection of collaborators to help interpret the breadth of what this incredible heritage house represents to so many different people – from the millennial to the mature, to the British and to the international,” Tisci said in a statement.

Throwback

The always dreamy and ever covetable Zimmermann has released their spring 2019 campaign, which is as beautiful as ever. Inspired by the Australian soap opera, Number 96, the collection is an ode to the 70s, featuring the brand’s signature floaty dresses and separates packed with whimsy.

The collection, which is a celebration of all things pride, diversity and LGBTQ+ rights, features the signature pride rainbow and a host of traditional Levi’s motifs.
