Going vegan
Topshop has announced their first line of vegan shoes, debuting their first ever animal friendly range of shoes today. Launching online, the range of six styles are all handcrafted in Spain from a variety of non-animal product leathers. Coming in tan, oranges and nudes, the shoes are the first foot forward for the brand in a new chapter for ethical clothing. We’re on board!
New jeans for Hailey
Hailey Bieber has been announced as the first ever face of the Levi’s 501 jean, which is celebrating its 146th birthday in May. Bieber, who has long been a fan of the classic cut, touts the style as “iconic” — a fair assessment of the famous jean. “I think it’s probably the most iconic piece of clothing there is — I remember how amazing the fit was on my first pair. They’ve been my favourite ever since,” Bieber said. The model joins names like James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Kendall Jenner as fans of the timeless style.
A tasty collaboration
Tommy Hilfiger has launched a collaboration with Coca Cola inspired by archival Tommy pieces first designed in 1986. The throwback capsule, which is available now, is everything you’d want from the ‘80s, including oversized sweatshirts, bold colourways and baggy jeans. Available in-store and online, the Coca Cola-branded pieces are a must for fans of nostalgic style.
The Air has a new look
Iconic in every way, Nike’s Air Max shoe has become synonymous with the brand and a cornerstone of streetwear. Now, Nike has collaborated with Tokyo-based sneaker boutique Atmos for a run of Nike x Atmos Air Max 2 Light. Featuring blocky colours and a serious ‘90s aesthetic, the shoe is a throwback in all the best ways. It’s on sale now from Supply Store.
Dior meets ballet
Ballet fans, pay attention! Christian Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri has designed a set of exquisite costumes for Nuit Blanche, one of three ballet performances that were staged in Rome earlier this month. Now, photos of the dancers have been revealed (top of article and below), showing Grazia Chiuri’s intricate works of art which feature some of her most signature traits — boning, fairytale skirts and pretty pastels included.
An icon is reborn
Irina Shayk is the latest It girl to wear Tod’s’ reimagined D-Bag. The bag, which is named after Princess Diana, has had a fresh update with the addition of four new colours. Citing the “timelessness” of the style, Shayk says the D-Bag is now a staple in her everyday rotation — and considering it’s celebrating a 20th year in 2019, it’s a fair assessment.
