How The World’s Biggest Fashion Influencers Tied The Knot

Go big or go home

Weddings may come and go within the blink of an eye but they are considered one of life’s most momentous occasions. For most people, your wedding day is the one day you can indulge in a little bit of luxury (and not feel guilty about it). But, if you’re already a world-famous multi-millionaire, no extravagance is too big. While the weddings of Kim Kardashian West and Meghan Markle are definitely something to marvel at, there’s a new breed of royalty giving Hollywood’s elite a run for their money. That’s right, we’re talking about fashion bloggers.

Known for their exquisite eye and covetable sense of style, these fashion connoisseurs are no strangers to glamorous affairs so it’s no surprise that when it comes down to their own nuptials, nothing is off limits. Instagram-worthy venues and oh-so-chic accessories aside, if there’s one element you know they’re going to nail, it’s the dress. That’s why the minute we hear one of them is getting hitched, we’re all ears.

Below, from floral arrangements to die for to custom Vera Wang that’d make even Carrie Bradshaw envious, we take a look back at how the world’s most famous fashion It-girls chose to tie the knot.

1. Chiara Ferragni

Italian blogger and designer, Chiara Ferragni wed long-time lover and X-Factor judge Fedez in a lavish ceremony on September 1, 2018. The pair tied the knot in a decadent 3-day extravaganza at the Diamora dell Balze hotel in Noto, Italy. No expense was spared, of course, as the bride donned not one, but two custom-made couture Dior dresses. And if that wasn’t enough to make your eyes water, the reception featured a bespoke amusement park, consisting of a Ferris wheel and a spectacular fireworks finale. Ferragani’s big day is expected to total to a whopping $1,177,800 AUD. #Weddinggoals.

Beauty entrepreneur Eleanor Pendleton and boyfriend Matthew Wilson got hitched in a dreamy ceremony at the Shangri-La Resort in Boracay, a small island in the Philippines. The Gritty Pretty founder stunned in an embellished gown by Australian label Pallas Couture, which was created using three types of French lace. For the ceremony and reception, the couple opted for a relaxed yet chic island-feel. The styling was kept to a minimum to create an intimate island-dining feel, complemented by hanging candles and a canopy of fairy lights.

3. Nicole Warne

Nicole Warne (AKA Gary Pepper Girl) married her partner of 11 years, Luke Shadbolt, in an intimate clifftop ceremony in New Zealand on March 19, 2018. The Australian fashion blogger wore five custom ensembles designed by everyone from Valentino to Oscar de la Renta, whilst her bridesmaids were dressed in Dion Lee, with each dress tailored to the taste of the individual. The couple exchanged vows at Rippon Hall in Lake Wanka, a vineyard that believes that the energy and love from each wedding seeps into the earth and aids in the growth of the grapes. The celebration consisted of a three-day adventure for the pair and their 90 guests which also included an organic wine tasting, a dance party under the stars and a “recovery” brunch the next day. Now that’s how you get married.

4. Pernille Teisbaek

When Scandinavian stylist Pernille Teisbaek married Phillip Lotko, she had the wedding of our dreams (and gave us some incredible inspo for our Pinterest boards). Teisback’s wedding was an effortless combination of minimalism and elegance. The pair wed on the island of Barhom in Pernille’s home country of Denmark at St Ibs chapel, before hosting a reception at the stylish retreat of the Nordlandet hotel on the island of Bornholm. Along with her silhouette pearl-embellished Vera Wang gown, the bride also wore a customised pearl belt by bridal designer Gudnitz Couture along with Manolo Blahnik shoes.

5. Sara Donaldson

The stylish bride turned heads in a custom designed, embellished off-the-shoulder dress by Jane Hill bridal. Instead of the traditional bouquet, Sara opted for a simple bouquet of three large white roses.

6. Pandora Sykes

What’s better than getting hitched in front of your closest friends and family? Getting hitched in your childhood home. Fashion writer Pandora Sykes did exactly this when she exchanged vows with husband Ollie Tritton in London, Essex in April 2016. The co-founder of popular podcast The High Low is known for her impeccable taste so naturally, her wedding dress would be slightly different to most. Friend and designer Alice Temperly designed Pandora’s effortlessly elegant dress which featured a Victorian lace collar and long sleeves. The bride wore the dress at full length for the ceremony and then removed the lower part for the reception.

7. Jesinta Franklin

Former Miss Universe winner Jesinta Campbell and AFL footballer, Lance Franklin, tied the knot in a private ceremony on November 4, 2016, in the Blue Mountains. Along with 24 of their closest friends and family, the couple said “I do” at the idyllic Mount Wilson’s Wildenstein Gardens before a reception was held in a small marquee. The fashion prowess wore a couture gown for the ceremony, designed by none other than Vera Wang herself, featuring a full tulle skirt offset and a modern-style sheer corset detail on the top. Jesinta held a few single-stem peonies in lieu of a traditional bouquet.

8. Anne-Laure Moreau

No-one does fashion better than the French. So when Anne-Laure tied the knot with long time beau Edouard Moreau in the seaside town of Cap Ferre, it was nothing less than a fabulous stylish affair. The French fashion editor wore a custom made boho dress by Wednesday Altier featuring a sweeping skirt, breezy v-neck bodice and delicate lace detail.

9. Caroline Brasch

When Caroline Brasch tied the knot in her hometown of Copenhagen, it was nothing less than what you would expect from a fashion model. The Danish model, who has walked for Fendi, Chanel and Givenchy, married in a ceremony on Danish canals in a flower embellished dress with puffy sleeves by Dane Cecile Bahnsen. Brasch’s 10 bridesmaids were also dressed in Cecilie Bahnsen and each held a single stem sunflower, while the bride herself carried a bouquet of sunflower blooms.

10. Lolita Jacobs

Lolita Jacobs married Jean-Baptiste Talbourdet Napoleone in an intimate ceremony under the sunshine of the French Riviera. The Parisian stylist opted for a bold yet sophisticated take on the traditional gown as she walked down the aisle in an Alaïa mini shirt dress with Manolo Blahnik orange flat sandals, counterbalanced by a floor-length veil. Needless to say Jacobs totally pulled the look off.

11. Feiping Chang

The fashionista turned heads when she walked down the aisle in a strapless dreamy Giambattista Valli dress, which was also the biggest that the designer had ever made.  If that wasn’t already enough, Chang and her husband renovated an entire villa where they hosted an epic three-day celebration alongside 150 of their closest friends and family. From customised gift bags to wedding cake made from 15 kilos of wild strawberries, Feiping Chang’s big day is by far the most #Instaworthy wedding ever. Jealous, us?

13. Monica Ainley
