Like Awards Season is to February, September may as well be its just as chic younger sibling. Within the past fortnight, we’ve witnessed the glamorous Venice Film Festival, the wild and wonderful fashions of the MTV VMAs, and then the quirky the glorious spectacle that was the Met Gala.
Today’s agenda? The annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The event has been tweaked a little in line with COVID-19 restrictions and requirments. Broadcast from an events space outside the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, a smaller list of in-person attendee’s will hit the red carpet beforehand.
Ahead of the event, all guests were required to share proof of vaccination.
As for who we can expect to hit the red carpet remains anyone’s guess. Some of the key nominees include Kate Winslet for her incredible work on The Mare Of Easttown. Then there’s Anna Taylor-Joy who was a standout star in The Queen’s Gambit. And of course, (a little more controversially), Emily In Paris was nominated, meaning we might get a glimpse of Lily Collins.
