Elle Macpherson has opened a show Melbourne Fashion Festival, marking her first return to the runway in over 10 years.
The supermodel, who turns 60 in March, wore three looks down the runway in the Triumphant x Paypal group show.
The opening look, designed by Viktoria & Woods, was a brown ensemble comprised of tan knitwear, silk terracotta trousers and a floor-length coat.
The second look featured a buttermilk yellow trench coat and trousers by Bianca Spender, and to close the show, Elle wore a black dress and coat by Aje.
She wore her long, bronde hair straight and billowing, with face-framing highlights.
Macpherson’s appearances on the runway were each met with applause from the audience.
Elle is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most famous modelling exports, having gained international fame for covering Sports Illustrated five times, earning her the nickname ‘The Body’. She’s often associated with the original supermodels, and was once deemed part of the ‘magnificent seven’ — the most elite group of supermodels at the time along with Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen and Claudia Schiffer.
During the 80s and 90s, she graced the pages of countless magazine and walked runways for the biggest designers in the business.
Her last runway was in 2010, when she walked for Louis Vuitton in Paris.
