The latest Dior must-have is the Toujour quilted leather bag—a surprising everyday essential with an elegant touch.
The handbag, already beloved by BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo, is an instant classic—featuring a sophisticated, classic leather design, elevated by quilting detail and Christian Dior charms.
The Toujour bag was imagined by Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri as part of the spring/summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection.
Under Chiuri’s direction, the French fashion house has returned the macro-cannage motif—a heritage Dior design feature—which now defines the Toujour bag.
First returning in the autumn/winter 2021-22 collection, the cannage stitching pattern is iconic vintage Dior, originally inspired by 19th century cane chairs from Christian Dior’s atelier.
Also borrowing from Christian Dior himself, the Toujour bag also features the designer’s ‘good luck charms’, i.e. the ‘D, I, O, R’ ornaments.
The timeless design of the Toujour is reminiscent of the Lady Dior bag, which was a noted favourite of Princess Diana. The Toujour, however, is less structured and able to fit seamlessly with everyday wear. Being both elegant and practical, it’s the perfect bag to elevate your wardrobe staples.
The relaxed structure makes it the perfect accompaniment for your classic blue jeans and oversized blazer, or a cute pleated mini and white tee.
The Toujour bag comes in small, medium and large sizes. It comes in black, ‘powder beige’, ‘medium tan’, ‘grey stone’ and ‘latte’ colour ranges. The Toujour is equipped with two adjustable handles that allow for either a hand or shoulder carry—so you can tote it around or sling it over your shoulder for ease.
