Be Transported To India With Dior’s Fall 23 Pop-Up In Melbourne

For fans who missed out on the brand's stellar Mumbai showcase, this is your chance to discover the collection.

Dior is bringing the spirit of India to Melbourne’s iconic Chadstone shopping centre, with a limited-time pop up.

The temporary space, which launched on 25 May, was designed to showcase Dior’s coveted Fall 2023 line to an Australian audience.

The collection was created with the splendours of India in mind, an endeavour that was reflected both in a vibrant colour palette of green, pink, yellow, and purple, as well as in the style of the pieces themselves – think sari-inspired straight skirts and traditional Indian tunics, reimagined in the House’s signature code.

Other can’t-miss pieces from the Fall line include the House’s iconic Lady Dior bag, which has been redesigned in the rich seasonal colour palette, as well as the Lady D Lite and Dior Book Tote bags, which have both been revisited in the subtle green of the Indian landscape.

The atelier unveiled the collection in a fittingly spectacular fashion, via a star-studded show in Mumbai, in front of the historic Gateway Of India.

The dreamy occasion featured a specially-erected archway draped in a 12-foot-high embroidered Toran, handcrafted by students of the not-for-profit Chanakya School of Craft.

Models passed through the archway, before descending onto a catwalk spectacularly lined with Rangoli-style floral arrangements.

And now, those who dreamed of sitting in front row in Mumbai can finally make that dream a reality, with a specially constructed space in the heart of Chadstone shopping centre.

The space itself has been designed in line with the collection, with details including hand-carved wood panels, locally-created talismanic rattan animals, and authentic bamboo furnishings. Each detail is enhanced by the opulent colour palette which, combined, pays a stunning visual homage to Indian culture and its long-standing contribution to the world of Haute Couture.

Australian fans of the House can experience this not-to-be-missed collection for themselves until 18 June, 2023, at Chadstone Shopping Centre.
