Say what you will about trends, love them or hate them theyโre here to stay. And when we find a good one, we donโt let it go.
So when we noticed boiler suits and jumpsuits popping back up on the catwalk (hello, Isabel Marant and Miu Miu), we most definitely were not complaining. Now, the runway favourite has well and truly trickled down onto the street, with editors, bloggers and fashion girls picking up the trend en masse. From tickled pink versions by Ganni to military green from the likes of APC, the boiler suit has proven itโs here to stay โ and weโre on board.
Now, influencer shopping platform, LikeToKnowIt has confirmed our bets, revealing there has been a 945 per cent increase in clicks on denim jumpsuits since this time last year. 945 per cent! And while denim might be trending, weโre betting itโs the general style that really has people tickled.
Comfortable, minimal and perfect for activities (what canโt you do wearing one), the humble jumpsuit has managed to infiltrate every summer wardrobe, and weโre predicting itโll only get bigger from here out โ something LikeToKnowIt would agree on. Moving into autumn and winter, as styles get longer and fabrics thicker, thereโs never been a better time to stock up.
As demonstrated by influencers all over the world, the boiler suit/jumpsuit trend is a fairly simple one to pull off. Pair yours with slides or low boots, add something glitzy like a brooch or pair of long earrings and call it a day. Jump on!
