Further proof that Dakota Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most underrated style icons is her most recent red carpet look for the Governors Awards in Los Angeles. The actress, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday, wore a bridal-inspired white crop top with a voluminous matching skirt by Brandon Maxwell, which was recently debuted during New York Fashion Week last month.
Johnson paired the white satin bralette and ball gown-inspired skirt with silver statement earrings, plum lipstick and her hair in loose waves.
The last time Johnson was spotted wearing white was to her birthday party in Malibu earlier this month, which she attended with boyfriend Chris Martin, his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and guests such as Miley Cyrus and Julia Roberts.
“Dakota arrived with Chris Martin and his son Moses,” a source told E! News at the time, adding, “She seemed very close with Moses and was laughing and holding on to him.”
“The party was held at a vacant parking lot in Malibu. It was a huge party with white balloon arches going across the sky,” they continued. “They had a big stage for performers and an Airstream set up with a bar. They had the Van Leeuwen ice cream truck as well. The decor was very boho with feathered pampas grass arrangements surrounding the stage.”
