With the Oscars buzz positively brimming over in LA right now (there’s even a champagne carpet this year), A-listers have had a weekend of glamourous celebrations around the city. One of the most star-studded was the CHANEL and Charles Finch Annual Pre-Oscar Awards Dinner. Here’s what happened…
The House of Chanel has long celebrated the magic of movie making. And what a night it was. Held on Saturday, March 11th, Chanel and Charles Finch hosted their 14th annual Pre-Oscar Awards dinner at the iconic Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
A glittering evening of fine wine and even finer fashion and jewellery, Chanel was very much the dress code, with the impressive guest list dressed in Haute Couture, Ready-To-Wear, stunning jewellery and makeup by the House.
Australian actress Nicole Kidman looked stunning in a blue and silver sparkling tweed jacket with a matching mini backless dress, embellished with black silk and tulle flounces from Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2023 Haute Couture collection. She cosied up with fellow Chanel Ambassadors Marion Cotillard and Kristen Stewart. Cotillard wore a Spring-Summer 2023 Haute Couture black lace petticoat dress, which was embroidered from top to bottom with black and silver dog motifs. Stewart meanwhile looked minxy in a black and white sequined knight tip with matching shorts from the Spring-Summer 2022/2023 ready-To-Wear collection.
Australian actress Pheobe Tonkin, of Babylon fame, looked chic in a black tweed jacket from the Spring-Summer 2022/2023 Ready-To-Wear collection, Chanel shoes and Chanel fine jewellery including rings from the “Bouton de Camelia” range and “Coco Crush” earrings. While Chanel’s latest ambassador, Whitney Peak, who was recently named as the face of Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, wore a look from Chanel’s Métiers d’art 2021/2022: a waistcoat embroidered with wooden beads over a white silk crepe blouse, paired with a white and silver painted tweed skirt. Coco Crush earrings from Chanel’s fine jewellery finished the look.
Also at the event was singer Rita Ora, who wore a glittered tweed coat from Chanel’s Métiers d’art 2021/2022, Sigourney Weaver, Vicky Krieps, Ariana Debose, Camila Morrone, Idris Elba, Andrew Garfield and Hugh Grant.
