Phoebe Tonkin, Liam Hemsworth & More Join Chanel In Sydney

Chanel’s long standing relationship with dance dates back almost as far as the Maison itself to founder Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel in the early 20th century. In its history, fostering the vitality and advancement of the arts has remained of the utmost importance.

In 2020, the fashion house found itself in a pas de deux with The Australian Ballet that would this year see the two come together at Christmas for a private performance of Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker. 

Held at the Sydney Opera House on December 17th, friends of the House, local cultural leaders and creatives gathered to commemorate the continued partnership and bask in the beauty of one of ballet’s most iconic and festive performances.

The iconic Opera House proved the perfect backdrop for a star-sprinkled guestlist to mingle pre-performance, including Australian ambassador for Chanel, Phoebe Tonkin, actresses Leila George, Chase Sui-Wonders, Charlee Fraser, Gabriella Brooks and Liam Hemsworth, Sam Corlett, and Australian musician Budjerah.
