In a way only a cultural icon like Céline Dion could, the star has made a strong case for maximalist dressing in 2020, taking to the streets of New York in a head-to-toe floral Moncler Richard Quinn coat and matching tights. But that was just the first couture look she’s pulled out in the last week.

The ‘60s inspired statement outfit was a far cry from the minimalist street style looks we’re used to seeing at fashion weeks across the globe, but it’s no secret that Dion has never been one to ‘fit in’ with the crowd.
Although her swingy blue-and-black floral print appliqué jacket was headline-worthy in itself, Dion is not one to do things half-heartedly, finishing off her dramatic ‘fit with a clever nape-of-the-neck ponytail that gave the perfect illusion of a dramatic chop. Combed back at the crown with just the right amount of volume, Dion’s lash-skimming fringe was the finishing touch to executing this deceiving – but ultra-stylish – ‘do. Turn to the side, however, and her long, strawberry-blonde tresses reveal themselves once more.
The 51-year-old fashion trailblazer has been making the streets of New York her own personal runway while visiting the city as part of her “Courage” world tour. Last Saturday, Dion pulled out another sartorial win, photographed in a pair of jeans and thigh-high boots underneath an exaggerated black Brandon Maxwell duster coat.

Fresh off the Michael Kors Fall 2020 runway, this houndstooth cape dress evokes a posh equestrian fantasy complete with black riding boots and whimsical fascinator hat, while Dion’s hands-on-hips power pose gives this look a winning finish.
There’s something powerful about a head-to-toe hot pink power suit that screams ‘I mean business’ – and Dion pulls it off. The singer styled the layered monochromatic look by up-and-coming New York-based designer Peter Do from his Fall 2020 collection.
In a look fit for that of Carrie Bradshaw, Dion stepped out in a pink floral gown and embellished ivory knit from Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2020 collection. Her pink bouquet is just a sweet bonus to the look.
Fashion month might be officially over, but it certainly hasn’t stopped Céline Dion from continuing to serve us some serious looks.
