While traditionally brides look to white when it comes to their wedding day gown, many choose to shun tradition in favour of something that suits their own personal style—from Emily Ratajkowski in a two-piece mustard suit from Zara to Keira Knightley in a tulle Chanel mini dress. After all, there are no rules when it comes to planning your special day.
Of those many brides that choose to add a personal touch to their nuptials, pink-hued dresses have been a celebrity favourite over the years. From blush to bright pink, many have opted for the colourful shade when saying “I Do.”
Below, we’ve rounded up all the celebrity brides who decided to wear pink on their wedding day.
Portia de Rossi in Zac Posen
The Australian actress wed television host Ellen DeGeneres in an intimate ceremony at their Los Angeles home (in front of just 19 family and friends). For the occasion, de Rossi opted for a stunning halterneck gown by designer Zac Posen, featuring a tulle skirt in a light shade of pink.
Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli
For her 2012 nuptials to Justin Timberlake, the actress wore a gorgeous petal pink strapless gown by Giambattista Valli.
“I have never been crazy about all-white wedding dresses, for me at least,” the actress told ELLE U.S. “It was a bit of a leap of faith at the time. But it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. [Putting it on], I felt like I had made the right choice. I felt elegant. And it moved like a dream.”
Jenna Dewan in Reem Acra
Wedding Channing Tatum in 2009, the Step Up actress wore a stunning pale pink gown by Reem Acra.
“I loved working with Jenna. She is so fresh and young. Her input on what she envisioned for her gown was essential and I am thrilled to have made her dream wedding gown come true,” the designer told People of the gown.
Kaley Cuoco in Vera Wang
For her wedding to Ryan Sweeting, the Big Bang Theory actress wore a custom pink Vera Wang gown with a sweetheart neckline. Cuoco has since remarried, and proved once again she’s every bit the unconventional bride, donning a white lace jumpsuit to her second wedding to Karl Cook.
Agyness Deyn in Molly Goddard
Former model Agyness Deyn tied the knot with Joel McAndrew in a pale pink tulle dress by British designer Molly Goddard. The groom also bucked tradition, wearing a white suit with a powder blue tie.
Blake Lively in Marchesa
In a very private ceremony, Blake Lively tied the knot with Ryan Reynolds in a silk tulle Marchesa gown featuring a fitted bodice, illusion crystal beading and rose gold embroidery. No full-length photos of the gown have ever been released, but we can imagine the actress would have looked stunning.
Reese Witherspoon in Monique Lhuillier
In 2011, Reese Witherspoon said “I do” to Jim Toth in a custom pink Monique Lhuiller gown, which matched her daughter Ava’s dress.
Beatrice Borromeo in Valentino Haute Couture
Beatrice Borromeo wed Pierre Casiraghi, Princess Caroline of Monaco’s youngest son and Grace Kelly’s grandson, in a one-of-a-kind Valentino Haute Couture dress made from pale pink and gold lace silk chiffon. She matched the shade of the gown with her floral headpiece and bouquet.
Julianne Moore in Prada
Moore opted out of the traditional white wedding gown in favour of a simple silhouette for her 2003 wedding to director Bart Freundlich. The bride wore a simple lilac-hued Prada dress with emerald earrings and matching shoes.
Gwen Stefani in Dior
Merging traditional with the unconventional, Gwen Stefani combined a classic white strapless wedding gown with her own signature flair in a pink ombré John Galliano for Dior dress, which she wore to marry Gavin Rossdale back in 2002.
“When I got engaged, I said I wanted [my dress] to be over the top, but not traditional—I wanted it to be everything,” the singer said.
Mandy Moore in Rodarte
For her 2018 pink-themed wedding, the This Is Us actress chose to match her ceremony’s palette with a tiered pink Rodarte gown, complete with a matching veil.
