For a limited time only, luxury jewellery maison Cartier is opening its doors and allowing Australians a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a piece of high jewellery and tradition.
For 175 years, Cartier has been a hallmark of precious jewels and coveted creations, but some collections have remained behind closed doors, shrouded in secrecy and only available to a select few. Until now
Cartier has brought their lauded High Jewellery collection to Australia featuring over 150 exclusive pieces, including abstract one-of-one interpretations of house icon, the Panthère, glistening gemstones and most importantly, Cartier Tradition.
The tradition collection are creations from the last century expertly revived and restored by specialist makers and available for purchase.
For jewellery aficionados, the rare opportunity to own a piece of Cartier history is one not to be missed and, with only 20 pieces available, you can be sure the unique designs will be a hot commodity.
One of the most coveted pieces is the vintage “Eglantine” necklace, a prized jewel in Cartier’s crown.
As the oldest piece of tradition, originally created at the turn of the century in 1906, the necklace is an exemplar of Cartier “Garland Style” and one few pieces still in existence, let alone circulation.
Hailing from the Belle Epoch era, this early 20th century wonder features platinum, yellow and white gold, emeralds and diamonds.
Designed as a graduate garland for a prominent American family, five flowerheads with pavé-set diamond petals are flanked by openwork pavé-set diamond leaves.
And did we mention the precious necklace comes with two detachable pairs of pavé-set diamond twigs on either side for shorter wear? Perfect for when you’re after something more modest for your next girls night out, (the girls night of our dreams, that is).
The restoration of the necklace took hundreds of hours, naturally, with the largest diamond expertly restored in tradition of the Piq atelier who were known for the most beautiful platinum in Paris.
If you’re still not convinced that this collection is for you, then allow us to draw you to the ever-so-fun Tutti Frutti art deco bracelet and matching broach.
If you’re interested in owning one of these impeccable Cartier creations for yourself, book a private appointment with your nearest Cartier boutique.
While we may have missed Valentine’s Day, we’ll be continuing the celebrations by browsing the collection and taking home one of Cartier’s red boxes for ourselves.
