THE BECKHAM FACTOR
Victoria Beckham joined forces with Jaguar Land Rover to create her own version of the Range Rover Evoque Special Edition. What resulted – rose-gold interior accents, 20-inch gloss black rims, baseball glove-style stitching and mohair floor mats (which apparently reminded her of when she was chauffeured to school in her father’s Rolls-Royce – how very Posh) helped boost the brand.
SHOW STOPPERS
German giants Mercedes-Benz take their fashion relationships to the top by pairing up with Fashion Weeks across the globe, including Berlin, Istanbul and New York. Its partnership with this month’s Australian Fashion Week stretches back to 1996.
A WORLD OF STYLE
Back in 1998, Audi Australia appointed design darling Collette Dinnigan as a brand ambassador. Over the years she has previewed her runway collections at Race Week and now offers unique invitation-only experiences for the company’s VIP customers.
SILK SEATING
Maserati hooked up with another Italian style leader, fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna, to create mulberry silk seats for its cars. The optional package also features silk door panels, roof lining and sunshades.
A NEW DIRECTION
Lexus is transforming itself into a broader lifestyle brand, as revealed by its amazing new showroom in Tokyo’s trendy Aoyama district. The concept shop/cafe/bar called Intersect By Lexus focuses on design, fashion and art, and also offers the Crafted For Lexus range of products, including sunglasses, tote bags, glasswear and leather goods. Continuing its style affiliation, in August the brand will host the Prix de marie claire Awards presented by Lexus.
