The amazing Georgia Fowler is walking in your upcoming show – why did you decide to work with her this year?
The collection is inspired by strong, future-thinking women and Georgia epitomises these qualities.
Masculine tailoring will meet feminine silhouettes; a sensual yet powerful play that conveys understated luxury. You’ll see carefully considered design details and fabrications that are effortless, luxe, tailored, crisp.
Masculine elements will include tailoring, androgynous suiting and elevated street wear. Military bonded coats with leather detail, checked suiting, bonded jackets and paper bag pants meet with feminine elements including emerald green and pink lurex dresses with voluminous sleeves, hourglass jacket dresses with exposed décolletage, classic tweed tailoring, tailored jacket shirting with a focus on the waist.
There’s also elements of edge and cool with jade and ice pink light wool suiting, leather fringed tops, skirts and dresses layered over pants.
What trends do you predict will be big this season?Investment pieces – beautiful, elegant, tailored suiting and statement dresses.
You have a loyal celebrity following – who would you most like to see wearing one of your designs?It’s been an honour seeing all of the women we have dressed over the years wear our clothing. It’s as amazing seeing women on the street styling CAMILLA AND MARC in their own individual way as it is seeing it worn on the red carpet. There’s no one woman we would single out; every woman is equal to us in their importance.
Can you describe the Camilla and Marc woman?The CAMILLA AND MARC woman is strong, confident, elegant and effortless with an appreciation for luxury and design.
What’s the best piece of fashion advice you’ve been given?Follow your instinct.
What’s your career highlight?There’s no one career highlight I would single out, they’re unfolding in each moment of every day and I feel so privileged to enjoy that. May the journey continue.
