Set on the cobbled street of Milan’s exclusive Via Montenapoleone, the BVLGARI boutique transformed into a wonderland this weekend. Handbags were displayed like artworks on gleaming plinths, resplendent in spring shades of peach and mauve, then finished with seductive serpent clasps.
The serpent has long been an icon of BVLGARI design, coiling fluidly over jewels and luxury leather goods, but it’s also a symbol of rebirth. Such was the inspiration behind the new Arkadia21 collection, which features the Serpenti Multichain Bag, Serpenti Maxi Chain Bag and Serpenti Brilliant Cut clutch - a dazzling minaudière.
Like the snake sheds its skin, the world too is going through a modern metamorphosis, says the Roman heritage house. And how better to herald a new tomorrow than with a little bit of glamour?
Below, see key pieces from the new collection, and photos from BVLGARI’s star-studded soiree.
