Toss Out Your Corsets, ‘Bridgerton’ Inspired Nap Dresses Now Exist Thanks To Hill House Home

A gown Lady Whistledown would adore.

It’s been eight months since Bridgerton took over our screens—and our lives—leaving us desperate to time travel back into the period drama, float through Queen Charlotte‘s quarters and find our own Duke of Hastings. But while doing so would require a level of time-bending science the world is yet to discover, we’re happy to settle with Cottagecore-inspired fashion.

Fans of the 19th Century-based series will surely remember the ultra-feminine ensembles donned by London’s elite. In fact, their silhouette and construction was quite similar to that of a popular garment worn today—Hill House Home’s nap dress.

For those who not only binge-watched Bridgerton but also fawn over the iconic nap dress, then today’s your lucky day. Nell Diamond, Hill House Home CEO, has joined forces with Phenomenal, a media brand that focuses on representing underrepresented communities, as well as Netflix for a Bridgerton-inspired capsule collection.

Hill House Home’s first collaboration includes three nap dresses and a bejewelled hair pins, to incorporate the fashion brand’s most famous fashion moments through a Regency perspective. As for one of the line’s dresses, it contains a “Whistledown” version of Hill House Home’s trellis print. And two of the brand’s famous Ellie dresses both feature a swirling, Chinoiserie-inspired design created by Diane Hill, a Black London-based artist.

“Being able to bring the Bridgerton magic with Diane Hill’s artistry onto our tried and true styles, that’s a dream for me,” Diamond told Harper’s BAZAAR U.S.

“When I saw Bridgerton, I think the reason I was so excited about it was that the aesthetic is so us,” Diamond told the publication, adding that the brand’s ethos and the show itself were so in sync with each other that fans of the show would flock to Hill House Home to get the “Bridgerton look”, courtesy of its contribution to the Cottagecore fashion trend.

Farewell constraining corsets, the Hill House Home collection still focuses on its signature oversized silhouette, and incorporates  feminine florals and pretty colour palettes, taken straight from the show itself. Diane Hill’s hand painted patterns include purples and pinks taken from Bridgerton’s colour scheme, while the Nesli dress’s trellis print features a tiny bee, which eagle-eyed fans would know is a motif from the show.
