Bella Hadid is notorious for bringing back strange and unexpected ‘90s and ‘00s trends. Whether it’s tiny glasses, huge glasses, low rise jeans, cargo pants or stomping sandals, the model knows which throwback trends work for her. So when she stepped out wearing the headband we all owned in the ‘90s, it didn’t surprise us one bit.
Travelling between shows during Paris fashion week, Hadid was caught wearing a black cloth headband holding back her hair, which complete with yellow-tinged shades was one hell of a nostalgic look.
Although her headband is black — not sparkly pink and ruched like, ahem, ours were — the thick cloth style is a stark departure from the Blair Waldorf-esque versions we’ve seen on the runway and the streets this season. Instead, Hadid has put her signature grunge spin on the trend, opting to go neutral and colourblocked.
And the best part about the trend? It’s super cheap. A classic black cotton headband will only set you back only $6.98 on Amazon. Amazing!
It isn’t the first time Hadid has gone with the same headband style. The model was touting the style (which we now use for washing our faces, honestly) way back in 2017, and has been spotted in a version of the same thing every now and again since.
The lesson here? The thicker the headband the better — and keep your hair loose, because headbands this thick don’t exactly complement the slicked back look.
