Maybe it’s because we’ve been cooped up inside for so long; maybe it’s because Bally was born in the Swiss Alps, crafting mountaineering boots in the 1940s and ’50s… Either way, for spring/summer 2021 the house turned its attention to nature, with a film and photo shoot set on rugged earth.
Leather is the collection’s linchpin, fashioned into fluted skirts, body-skimming dresses and smart jackets, along with structured totes, neat crossbodies and slouchy drawstring bucket bags.
The brand has long referred to itself as an “architect of leather”, so it makes sense that it continues to serve up meticulously crafted, must-have accessories. A bag for work, a bag for play, a bag for weekend getaways — best spent in grassy, golden meadows.
