When it comes to royal protocol, anything most certainly does not go. There are rules about stockings, rules about hemlines and even rules about wedges (the Queen apparently doesn’t like them), so when dressing for a red carpet, sneakers are a total no go zone.
For Lady Amelia Windsor, Princess Diana’s niece and cousin to Prince Harry and Prince William, it seems fashion trumps royal protocol. Attending the Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition in London overnight, the young (and arguably most stylish) royal opted for a classic summer outfit: a slip with sneakers.
Pairing her pastel green Stella McCartney slip dress with a pair of white sneakers, Lady Amelia looked all the part a fashion girl.

While Superga’s low-key white sneakers are loved by Kate Middleton and were once worn by Princess Diana, too, Lady Amelia’s on-trend sneakers were far from low key. Chunky and with a touch of neon, the sneakers were most definitely a statement look.
Rule breaker or not, there’s no denying this royal looked good.
