Amal Clooney Takes Style Cues From Kendall Jenner In Best Possible Way

We’re obsessed with this look

Is there anything Amal Clooney can’t do? Honestly, the woman is a powerhouse. When she’s not busy saving lives at the United Nations, Amal is probably best spotted mingling with celebrity friends or wearing something that launches a thousand imitators. A veritable style icon, Amal is New York’s version of royalty — and we’re obsessed.

So when she strays from the tried and tested mould — think trench coats and shift dresses — we pay attention.

Stepping out in Los Angeles for the premiere of George Clooney’s new film Catch 22, the human rights lawyer opted for something a little different: a fun, emerald green party-ready dress.

The one-shouldered mini dress from Oscar de la Renta featured an exaggerated taffeta sleeve with bold ruching detail and a LOT of punch. It was a serious statement move from the star, who hasn’t channelled the ‘80s this much since, well, we’re guessing the actual ‘80s. Paired with statement Lorraine Schwartz earrings, this was a power outfit.

However, it was the shoes which really caught our attention. Instead of a safe black stiletto, Amal took things up a notch with a pair of patent two-tone heels. A favourite of the Kardashian/Jenner family, the perspex heel was virtually re-introduced by Kanye West’s Yeezy line — and now, Amal is making it her own. Add to this the mini cocktail dress and we’re getting serious Kendall Jenner vibes.
